About Us


Connecticut In-Home Assistance is a family owned and operated business guided by the professional knowledge, experience, and values acquired by Renny, Betsy, and Jamie Wieland in their 50+ years of working with elders and disabled individuals.


CEO – Jamieson Wieland has been working with elders for over 13 years. He originally joined the organization with a marketing & business operations background. Jamieson soon found his passion for helping those who needed compassionate, reliable assistance to help them through the day.


Former President – Renny Wieland was Executive Director of VNA Health At Home, Inc. in Watertown, Connecticut for 18 years prior to founding Connecticut In-Home Assistance in 2000. He retired from actively managing the company in 2008. At that time, Jamieson assumed the position of CEO having served in multiple positions during his previous seven years with Connecticut In-Home Assistance.


Betsy Wieland is a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Care Manager with extensive experience in the care of individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Our Mission


The mission of Connecticut In-Home Assistance is to provide compassionate, reliable and affordable in-home care services to frail elderly and disabled individuals in the community.


The vulnerability of the frail elderly, chronically ill, or disabled individual requires the presence of an honest and sensitive caregiver who is has experience understanding and meeting the needs of this population.


Our staff works in conjunction with other professional care providers, and has experience working with clients that experience changes in their condition.
